Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

Double click and MXM file should open this material for editing in the MXED. Right now, it only launches the editor.

Using Spotlight in OSX allows one to select the large MXM Database and search for MXM's if you have some idea of the file name. Using this feature you can quickly find mxm's without hunting through all the folders. BUT a double click right to editor would make this workflow complete. This is akin to double clicking a word doc and getting the last file edited instead of the one you just tried to open.

I hope that NL will get the ball rolling with the MXED interface design. - Here is an idea.... Whoever designed the MXM Gallery page.... move them over to MXED Interface design. :)

Until then, please fix this so I can work around the browser deficiencies in MXED!

Sorry for asking a stupid question, but I thought that MXED = editor.

edit: ahh... I've got it now! It only opens the editor empty without the material.

Hi Kurt,

Yeah, I could have written a bit slower. But yes, it should open the desired material to be edited. The current MXED does not allow for the browsxer window to be resized AND that when you do click on a material in the browser, it often jumpos down a couple materials in the view pane instead of opening the selected material. This browser is not too efficient yet. I would rather be looking through a searchable databse and right now, that is the online gallery.

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
