I purchased a model from TurboSquid. The artist claimed the model was available as .3ds. I opened the file and it is in .max format which is useless to me as I use Cinema4D. Is there a utility out there that can convert .max to other formats that I can use? If not, is there anyone out there that would convert the model to .3ds with uvw mapping? I would really appreciate it.

you could download the 30 days trial of max and convert it by yourself...
