Been posted X amount of times before but i still strongly vote for this too. :) Modo is already a powerful tool and gets even better now with the 301 release.

Do they have a public plug-in SDK now? Last time I checked (at version 202) they didn't have one and I can't find an announcement about it being released in the mean time. Writing a Maxwell scene exporter in Perl is not a terribly pleasant experience. :)

No idea if they do, but a good idea would be to wait after the 301 release now this summer and then work on a plugin for Modo. I'm glad tho you show interest in coding one. :)

No, the SDK is not currently available.

FYI, modo's scripitng API is very good and it supports Python and Lua, in addition to Perl. Python would be my choice for such a task... well until the SDK comes along.

Modo is good, but really need to go 64 bit... a shame for any 3D app today..

ok.. add my vote..

Yeah true, i'm really annoyed by any 32bit 3d application by now. It's always a limit in the pipeline if you work with something big. So Maxwell Studio can by now handle scenes that Modo can't.

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
