Hello fellows!

It's always nice to have an update and I'm happy to see it's working very well for some of us! :)

Here it doesn't work at all (2 Ghz G5, lightwave 8 ) on a scene that was working smoothly..

Symptoms:

LW plug makes LW to quit just after "camera information"
If I keep only one layer from my object in Lightwave (ex: the floor, the walls, it exports and renders, but not if there is floor+wall)
After rebuilding my scene and obj file, deleting all UVs, all textures, all MXM.. it exports correctly, maxwell opens but doesn' render because it is an "obselete MXS"...

..note that the scene was rendering well with previous version..

Anyway i'll continue trying but after a day of destroying my work and doing reverse-engeneering, any help would be really great!!

Yes it is updated correctly I think.. I did further tests, i'm getting closer to isolating the problem.. i have to clean up my test files because i got pretty messed-up today, after a week end at the coutryside it will probably be clearer!

I suceeded to restore the scene however there are still problems..

It seems that UVs are not understood like in the previous version of the lightwave plugin:

• UV projections recorded in the mxm don't work anymore with the objects UV: if I try to rereder as-is, I get a "bad U or V value" error when maxwell stats the render.

• one object with one UV will work well (if the UV/mxm is redone to avoid the above problem), but if I add another layer to the object textured with another UV projection, the lightwave plugin make maxwell quit.

• Sometimes I get this problem: 1) the scene export and renders well, 2) I save all objects from Lightwave Layout, 3) export and render from the plug > Lightwave quits, 4) relauch Lightwave layout and load the scene and objects saved in 2, the scene now exports and render with no problem.

This might be scene specific but I don't have time to test more for now! I just post so that we can talk about this if it is a plugin issue...

Maybe this post can be moved to lightwave section since it seem to be plugin related (tho it might be mac-plugin specific ;))!
