Hi jeffg,

I've no experience of Archinteriors, but the Archmodels are excellent (especially the later volumes in the series). A lot of effort has gone into the modelling and the meshes are generally of a very high standard.

However, Evermotion's wood texture pack is not of the same standard. The textures are not seamless, have very visibile lighting anomalies, etc. The disc is really just a collection of unedited scans/photos. They are inferior to the Dosch ones, which is really saying something.

From the looks of it the Archinteriors seem to feature objects from the Archmodel series so I reckon they'll be top notch - but you'll probably want to use your own textures.

Cheers,

Nik

Most of the models have UVW mapping but the textures are all applied in Vray, they do come in 3DS and Max format but you will have to look for the maps in the Vray files. I just purchased 11 of these libraries and it's going to take some time to apply materials to all of these models for use in Maxwell.

Archinteriors is a product for people learning to render, not a resource for production - they give you a bunch of Max scenes already set up, and you can render them then look at how they're set up to figure out the techniques.

I guess people must be finding this useful, since they're apparently selling enough to make it worth marketing more discs in the series. Maybe some savvy person here can do the same thing for Maxwell and make some profit :)
