Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

After working on several projects now I came up with my own little wish list. I did not search everything, so forgive me If I wish for things others have already wished for :

- MXI Files : Seed Table For better handling there should be a seed table within the mxi file that can be read by the viewer to check which seed numbers have been used. That would give a lot mor security when assigning seed numbers by hand. EDIT : come to think of it, this could even be pushed further. Encode the seeds into the mxi, then if you want to do some additional renders point mxcl to the old coop-file where it can read the seeds and assign not used ones automatically....

- Studio : ManagerAccess For easier setup of network renders I would love to have a direct link between studio and mxcl -manager. I imagine having a studio scene with a few cameras and being able to distribute the render settings directly into the manager. In the future this should also be possible from within the plugins.

That is exactly my point. Consider this : You are doing some preliminary renders of a scene. As we all know, the coop feature is somewhat, well, time-consuming. So I usually set up two machines to render overnight, assigning different seed numbers manually. Currently I join the mxi by hand and code the used seeds into the filename. So if the client is happy and I go into final production I assign some more renders with different seeds. If the seed information was stored INSIDE the mxi I could go back even a month later (yes, some clients are extremely slow, never thought that would happen) and would still know WHICH seeds were free even after I renamed my file...

So I think both would be great, automatic seed assignment that gets the used up seed no automatically AND the possibility to read them out manually....

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
