Hi!
This is ment to be a small thread that appreciates the work done in 1.1

Here are MY thoughts:

- The preview function in studio seems to be much faster in certain situations, thats great stuff!!!

- SSS seems to be much better now... it was hardly usable before.

- Details like direct accessible layouts, the material wizards, stability, makes using the application much more fun!!

Thank you Next Limit :)

Yes, my first impressions of Studio are also very positive. Studio 1.0 ran very unstable on my system. Deleting several items at once was enough to make it crash. Not only this works now, the whole application seems much more stable after first testing. I also enjoy the fact, that Layers are brought to Studio as groups. This really helps a great deal get a well organized file transfered to Studio.

Nice thread - lemme give NL some positive feedback:
I'm using the C4D-plugin and I'm really glad how things have changed regarding this! Bitmap textures are fully usable now directly from the plugin. Standard materials are looking good. So, from this point of view, there is no need for me to dwell in nostalgia about Beta any more. :) Overall image quality has improved too - at least to my eye.

One thing i think is cool is that i can now render highres and with a higher polycount in my scenes without it crashing :) here's a scanned claymodel of a raptor with a 2 million polycount i loaded directly into Maxwell Studio, let it render for 10 minutes at 2048x1536 :) i couldn't do this before.

I'm very pleased with the improved bump mapping. I like that you can view mxm's in both the Max and Rhino viewports. I like that the Rhino plug-in now has a graphical representation of the mxm's in the Material Editor. I like that you can call mxed by clicking Edit in the Rhino material Object Properties. 8)
