well, thats a brilliant image no doubt - but to compare would be nice if the scenes were identical (as much as possible considering all the differences between beta/1.0), with the same render time. sss for the lamps for example, makes such a huge difference. In any case, beautiful images

First image (beta) is definitely looking more phtotorealistic to me .. but might just be that settings have to be tweaked some to get the same look and feel in your the V1 versions? Excellent stuff

The only thing I like better in the beta image is the floor material.

Otherwise the version 1 image is much better IMO. Way shorter render as well.

I agree that the beta version looks better, but in my opinion, the v1 version has bigger potential.

You are right ..

As soon as I'll have time, I start to finetune this scene.

I keep my fingers crossed that you will be able to achive not the same image as the beta but similar photorealism, where one are almost doubting if it is real or not. I for one hope and look very much forward to see what you come up with by finetuing this scene for v1.
