very original and entertaining concept.

critique:

- The lighting. It's flat. Some strong directional light would help with perspective and outlining the '3D'ness of the objects. I'm assuming you used an HDR to light the scene? If so, add an emitter or two to simulate a desk lamp, or a light source off-screen. a warm orange light would help methinks.

- scene compostion. It's staged. Which is OK if that's your goal, but to my eye it seems the objects were placed carefully, which is OK but if it's a real enviornment it's nice to have some objects leave the scene. The effect of this is to bring the viewer close to the image and more intimate with the subject matter. Even adding a few more coins and pencils which are cropped will have this effect. The pencil leaning on the duck also screams artificial setup. I saw a lot of photos like this back in college.. and they are what they are... a still life setup. If this is your desire, then it's a success, but if you are shooting for a 'photo' of a young person's existing living space, it fails.

Very nice work though... the minor issues are easily corrected, and personally I think this image is strong enough to make the effort.

oh, and those coins are way too reflective. They only stay like that as non-circulating proof sets. Actual coins collect scratches and smudges really quickly... perhaps add 10 points of roughness and see the change?

.yes you are completely right.image was rendered with multilight feature and there are three lights.physical sky, dark blue-desk lamp, warm yellow-ceiling lamp.hdri was there just for reflections.shame is, that blue and yellow light have incorrect strength and are barely visible.i figured it out just after 30 hours rendertime, when i started to play with multilight.and it was to late to rerender it, because of 2 hours to submission deadline.but i plan to rerender it, maybe next weekend.

.this is image with just blue light.intensity in emixer increased to 1000 level, but it is still not enough.

.they already have 10 points of roughness.but i also think that it is not enough.with low sampling level it looked pretty good.

It's a really nice render! Too bad you didn't have time to relight it. Some rimlight on the frog is especially missing I think....
