No, Mars is typically quite cool, in fact has never gotten above 32 deg C. More troubling would be the low of -123 deg C. Even silicone bottoms out at -120. Some interesting engineering plastic would be necessary for that. Obviously well within NASA's abilities to reach those last 3 degrees...Hervé wrote:are they using some special plastics...
