Does anyone know where the codec's are stored in Windows?

I've always used QT Pro to convert image sequences to Quicktime... haven't done any in a few months but it always worked for me. Suddenly today I can't save anything to quicktime. I tried out of QT Pro and AfterEffects and from both apps I get a "file missing" error. I assumed it was the H.264 codec so I uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime and even tried going back to older versions but I always get the same error. Playback of old movies I made the exact same way still works. I was going to try to copy the codecs over from a working machine but I can't find where they're stored.

Solved.

In case anyone else has this problem, the issue is related to the latest release of Quicktime (7.6 right now). However, in order to uninstall it I had to go all the way back to Quicktime 5. When I uninstalled Quicktime 5 there was a "uninstall everything" option which warned me about uninstalling shared system files. That worked, once I had uninstalled Quicktime 5 I went back and installed Quicktime 7.1.6.200 which I found on filehippo.com (since I had not saved every different quicktime installer along the way).
