thanks, mike and tom.
think now i understand what it´s all about...

don´t get me wrong i didn´t complain, when i read §set it to a value higher than 3" i simply did that.
just wanted to summarize how i understood what i read so far in order to perhaps help the others understand.

thanks anyway, i´ll do some tests.

As a tip, mirror would be Nd=100, which is currently maximum possible but we know even 20 is enough to get rid of falloff.

No again, let me tell the whole story from the beginning:
- Months before when fresnel was not working properly, we created these material presets (I mean MXM files) with leaving default Nd as 1.0 which is incorrect but working with old system like Nd=max now.
- Later, fresnel approach is fixed and material presets become obsolete.
- Unfortunately we left these obsolete materials in installation package and this is where all the headache comes from.
Hmm.. I think I'm understanding. So, what - if anything - will be changed in the future?

Regarding the materials, you implied that something will be fixed. What exactily will that be?

Yes, I said we will fix and provide you new MXM material presets, isn't it Michael?

Let's ask agian:
-What will you fix Tom?
-Material presets.
-Whaaaat?
-Material presets
-You said you will fix something!
-Yes.
-So, what's it?
-Material presets.
-I didn't understand what will be fixed.
-Loop...

Tom, I don't know if it's a language thing, or if you are not fully reading my questions. I'm done with you.

No Michael, it's obviously not language thing. The question and answer is simple and short.

QUESTION: What will be fixed?
ANSWER: Nd values in obsolete material presets will be changed.

MXMs will be resaved and sent to you back. Meanwhile you can do it too, very easy, please follow these steps.
1-Open material preset which is giving unexpected black results.
2-See Nd=1.0 and change it to Nd>=3.0
3-Preview and overwrite material.

These above 3 steps are called "fixing a material preset" and this is what will provide as soon as possible. So we say, "Sorry, we will fix obsolete material presets and send them back to you".

Still unclear?

Ah, 8etty you understand, thank you. I couldn't understand why Michael couldn't understand this but I think the English barrier is not on my side this time.

This is EXACTLY what I asked, and Tom said no.
