A couple of notes to add to the list:

- I noticed that if you insert a block (rather than import it), the mxm that gets produced can't render. One can easily fix this by exploding the inserted blocks, but that's not the way it should work

- would be really nice to be able to assign a material to several layers at once.

piroshki's post reminded me to post it here too: (I have already asked for this in the general Maxwell wishlist)

It should be possible to export cameras, created in Maxwell-Studio back to the modeling package, in order to blend stuff with renderings created using other engines inside Rhino, Maya, 3DsMax etc. Without this option, certain render-effects aren't possible for Studio-users (e.g. blending with toon-style renderings).
The plugin therefore should be able to read out camera-coordinates from .mxs files. I think, it should also be possible to export cameras to programs which are not supported by a plugins, e.g. Modo. NextLimit advertises Studio as rendering solution for these packages too. In the case of my example, users should be able to blend parts of images created with Maxwell with results of Modos powerful native renderer.

The wish repeated: reading out camera coordinates and properties by plugins and exporting these back to the modeling packages.

Thanks, Holger

This is a very specific wish, but perhaps others are in the same boat. I like to used Rhino, but have a Mac. Rhino runs beautifully on my Mac using Parallels Desktop. I would love the Rhino Plug-in to utilise the OSX version of M~R instead of the Windows version.

Does anyone think this could (might be) possible? I guess this is similar to using a Plug-in to point to a copy of M~R on another computer on the same network.

I generally get round this by using the Windows verion of M~R while developing a model and then do the final renders in OSX (much quicker).

Anyone else in the same boat? I seem to remember a discussion a while back about pointing a PC and OSX version of M~R to the same Materials Library (and the problems this creates).
