Textures for use in Fire are written to ~/Maxwell/SketchUp/temp/textures. The plan is to make the location of the /temp folder user-configurable, with the button you're talking about being the one you'll use to browse to a new location.

Thanks JD, this is a relatively new install and i already have 8 GB of textures 5,934 items ! While the location is important, keeping these textures seems not to be important so it could purge itself automatically on quitting ?

I am aware of no really reliable way of doing that; it will likely be best to have you do it through Finder.
