Ill do some updates next week:

1. change texture mapping on the large handle
2. Make the analog meeter more white
3. Make the coffe darker
4. Let it render for some more time
5. Perhaps add some more details

first of all - great mood, but how do you export from microstation?

i work in microstation for years, but the render quality (both radiosity or raytracing with G.I.) wasn't enough for my clients (even with ies lights) - so i passed to rhino.

pwrdesign, I am curious. From your first post yesterday (with posts showing progress following that first post) to when you posted that you were shutting down your work, was only 2 1/2 hours. Modeling to MWR in 2 1/2 hours? How long did it actually take?

Well I did some modeling before I started to post the screens, but about 2 hours modeling, 10 min with materials and light and about 15-20 min render.

I will start the new render asap tomorrow when I get to work (I hope that they've plugged in the workstation hehe)

One question.. if I want to do the Flash-render, is the best tip to place a small emitter just above the camera? And give it the correct color temp?

Since I've updated the scene I stopped this one now...
SL 13 this time, 2hrs and 28 min, but I've been messing around with the materials so I got less noice.

Rendering the final image now, Ill let it render over the night but this is a 5 min preview:
