thx Hervé, I will try it with an mxi ....

An aside, ..I've looked at this on 4 different monitors now, ... hmmm 2 of 4 are at the correct brightness. Pretty dark on this current CRT.

This makes me wonder if it's best to err on the side of bright when adjusting an image that has large dark areas .... ?

Wait till you then see it on a Mac monitor.

I've found that if I set my contrast & brightness correctly at home, on my calibrated monitor at work, images also look fine.

However when I show someone with a Mac & LCD monitor, then the images are always super dark. :evil:

Very difficult to accomodate for every monitor in the world. ;)

Forgive my ceramic/porcelain error, I use mugs for tea. ;)
