boy, its a litlte difficult to help ya if you dont upload at least screen grabs of you maxwell env attribute editor, but here's info on the sun, North is the negative z axis, East is the posative X axis( this is your sun will rise,so your shadows in morning hours will fall to the Negative X axis=west)
