Using World coordinates procedural Noise in Global Bump - bump map does not show. Using the same World coordinates procedural Noise in Reflectance 0 does show. Another issue is that one cannot get finer granularity as one needs for the typical chemically etched plastic textures as found on power tools, for example, as Detail ends at 1000 and Octaves ends at 50.


One could use a noise normal map and a Cubic projector the traditional way, but that means seams show up. The procedural Noise and World coordinates setting is said to be the solution, but it does not work.


There should be the good old Triplanar projector (Alias 1991, lol) with a blend seam option, that'd solve it.
