I currently use a utility to make all of a group's facets contiguous in the .obj (so that Maxwell Studio won't interpret resumption of a group as a new object), but I have found that the utility doesn't always work right...
More importantly it would be nice if Maxwell Studio could read an .obj file in combination with a .mtl file. Otherwise I will simply set up everything by hand using the .mtl as a guide. Even if all it did was create a material for every object (or every material zone), and apply the diffuse texture, that would help enormously.
Is there a workflow possibility I'm not considering?
I wonder if an .obj+.mtl -> .mxs converter app is theoretically possible?
Thanks.
