So a new version of Maxwell in June? Or updated plugins?
The only real problem we had using the renderer was when we wanted to use Shave and Haircut for the pirate's beard. To render this in Maxwell we had to convert the strands into polygons. This was very memory intensive and wouldn't really be practical on a bigger scale. Luckily the next version of Maxwell coming in June will have full support for this.

You know, it's not the number that makes software great (Hello, Autodesk & Graphisoft  ) but what is actually hiding BEHIND that number.
So let's just wait and see.
Waiting for some teasing news about new version - gotta love those

Something strange is going on here

First, Fire videos were mysteriously found in YouTube, many days before the announcement.
Now a guy outside NL, talks about the new version, he also received a beta!

This is just sad that we receive the info from a company and not NL (if it's true...)
As a customer, I would receive some "vip" informations before others... access to some beta...
Ok, it can be considered as viral... if I send it to friends... but as an update, I am not sure it's the kind of informations you discuss out this forum. I believe that NL has not approved the interview

It's not that I want to be a beta tester because I don't have the time or the knowledge. Of course I would love to have a public beta but I guess NL will never want that.

That's interesting -- that would mean Maxwell is aiming for the animation crowd with a "slip" like this... which would represent a significant departure from the "typical" Maxwell user.

I've noticed a big jump in the pace of new users joining the forum, so I would say we may soon see alot more animation people posting here.

Best,
Jason.

Yes I did notice that as well

I've been learning more about animation as a result of purchasing messiah:Studio 5 recently but since there isn't any easy way to render those animations in Maxwell I don't have anything to show... It will be interesting to see all the different things that will be done with Maxwell.

Best,
Jason.
