Is there any way of decreasing the amount of lag/hanging when working in Studio with big scenes or scenes with lots of bodies? It's taking me ages to texture an architectural scene, but really I haven't got that many bodies.

Are you working with Fire?

If you are just in the openGL viewport you can try adjusting the Viewport Rendering properties in the preferences -- showing lower resolution textures, less lights, brackets, and bounding box may help speed up things a bit.

Best,
Jason.

Hi, I tried adjusting those settings but it didn't help. I'm not using Fire... I haven't moved onto the new Maxwell yet.

Are you still on 1.7?

I noticed sometimes on large scenes where you are changing alot sometimes you need to purge history periodically to keep things moving along.

Best,
Jason.

No I'm on 2 but not the 2.5 with Fire...... but I just shut it down then reopened the scene with those changed preferences and it seems to be quicker, so thanks - wish I looked into that this morning!
