Certainly a good point. I don't do a lot of interiors but, like I say, it'll be a nice tool to have in the bag. I'm not one to look a (free) gift horse in the mouth (maybe that expression isn't international...). I eagerly look forward to seeing what else this update has up its sleeveMihai wrote:Brodie, you will benefit from this feature by also using Max. The thing is you shouldn't get to stuck on the word hair, it's not just hair or fur this is useful for but any type of fibers since you can apply any Maxwell material to the generated fibers. So think carpets, towels, brushes, fabrics.....there are many more applications than hair and grass. But, it's not the only new feature in this free upgradebrodie_geers wrote: I'm interested to test out the hair renderer for grass which I can do through 3ds Max but really that method doesn't even seem to be in vogue anymore. Now people seem to be shifting to scattered grass geometry. It'll be a nice tool to have in the belt but I'm just fine with NL not turning it into a major focus at this point.
