The render booleans look great! Incredible to see how the changes are updated in realtime - and the same for changing lens types. 8)

Btw. i think the lens type video is missing on the page ;)

One question i have is why only one custom alpha can be selected in the render window. Wouldn't it be possible to list all custom alphas? Normally there should be much room left above the few dots and it would be more logical and easier to control if they where all listed here.

I'm glad you asked!

There is in fact an option to show all of them - if you press Shift + right/left arrows you can cycle through them. And also these options will be added to the right click context menu.

Thanks, we'll add it asap.

I am about to buy HDR light studio, they offer an interesting price discount just this friday, but now I am hesitating, maybe there is a similar feature now built in in V3?
if so, would it be much asked to put it in the sneak preview video's a bit before friday?

tnx

That is a significant expense. You should re-think your pricing model, maybe adding the option for a subscription or charging smaller amounts for incremental updates. My budget for software is reviewed in context with all the other software I own (and upgrade).
At first it may not seem like much, but when I add into the calculation the cost of all the other upgrades, this is a significant out-of-pocket expense. I know for a fact that it would be some time before I bought this upgrade, as impressive as the software seems to be.

It would be be nice to hear from other users on this forum.
Yes, I agree that the proposed upgrade pricing is more than I had expected, or would be willing to pay for. I had anticipated the upgrade to V3 would have been more like $350-$400, rather than ~$575. This would be a difficult to justify upgrade for me. While the new features look pretty awesome, I'll have a hard time getting this approved. Ten free nodes is fantastic if you happen to have an office full of workstations, so this in itself isn't a feature that I could (a) use, or (b) use to justify the upgrade cost.

are there official $ prices out anywhere?

i doubt 575$ is the right calculation. see the current $€ pricing. we will see.

Thanks Mihai, that is quite comforting... and a bit sad at the same time ;-)

Someone correctly pointed out that Next Limit does not use currency conversion to set their prices. There is basically a separate price for the Euro and the Dollar. So far, Next Limit only published the Euro price.

I just hope that Next Limit understands that us health-insurance-less Americans will start paying for ObamaCare next year, which means we are all going to be broke.

allows to view it interactively then?
Would be nice to put it then on www or send to client.
My question probably sunk in crowd of excitement :-)

Thx for answer. Quick Time no longer opens panoramas, stopped do it about v7. Thanks for the pano2qtvr, windows only :(
I wondered if V3 got some viewer for this included, maybe there is some recommended software?
