OT: I'm surprised that your experiences with Ndo2 are that good. I like the GUI-Concept for this Plugin a lot, it's truly great but don't you find it slow as hell?
Maps larger than say 1000px or so may need up to even minutes to process on my Machine. Crazybump for instant is many times faster and outputs all
required maps at once.

I think this depends entirely on PS and your machine, which version do you have? For the resolution you say, it really shouldn't take several minutes. I just think the integration with PS is in itself wonderful. I can paint anything and it gets turned into a normal map with great controls....being able to blend different layers to make the perfect map is also a big plus. I'm not affiliated with them!

I have CS5 and a reasonably quick Quadcore machine.
Yes I agree about the great concept and was clearly willing to support them.
But speed (also Update-Speed) in comparison with superfast CB was a clear Dealbreaker.

I would def buy it, and i think many other users would to.

I would also buy it!

Ugh, I just remembered an important thing I should have said when I uploaded the material.

Displacement based materials (like the one I uploaded here) work best on subdivided geometry -- so for this material and scene I would use the plane 8 x 8 primitive (from the library). It is the same size as the other planes (1m square) but it is highly subdivided so the displacement will render much quicker.

Best,
Jason.

I was playing with the main leather texture image in Substance Designer (using it like Photoshop) and came up with a variation that I used for a new MXM that has much smaller grain and can be made into any color you like by changing the reflectance colors of the base layer.

I like it in Black, you are welcome to try it in your scene and see if you like it.

Best,
Jason.
