There's no file necessary, Mihai:

1. open Studio
2. create a camera
3. set EV to 13 and save ev13.hdr
4. set EV to 15 and save ev15.hdr
5. set EV to 17 and save ev17.hdr

Next:

- set EV to 13 and load ev13.hdr
- switch between IBL & Physical Sky

Here, the HDR should be too bright. Repeating the sequence using EV15 & ev15.hdr should yield a good match, while doing the same with EV17 & ev17.hdr should show the HDR as being too dark. EV 15 is where it matches; going up and down from there yields darker and lighter HDRs, respectively.

Mihai and JD

I would imagine as mentioned previously I would imagine irrespective of the camera ev setting the result should be a HDRI that matches the phys sky - yes?

This isn't a biggy at all now as JD points out it is just the case of generating the sky at ev 15, then any camera adjustments there after will produce desired result.

Not being techno but could it just be the case that this then be built into the HDRI export engine to always set the ev at 15 on export. Leave it to the techo's!
