Pretty good start for a testscene TokTok

Here's one i threw together based around Thomas original scene and a pre-built tire and rim mesh i had in my archive (not modeled by me). The rubber could probably use a bit more work but for a quickie it should do for now.

Max, as i know, Maxwell materials needs a real scale to be more realistic. What about the 4 cm lenght?
Anyway, your test is good.

Looking good guys! The scene aswell as the rubber. Could you share your materials, i really want to know what i'm doing wrong..

David your scene looks very nice, want to share that too? I'm still using my old one, i want to compare.

In the meanwhile i used Hyltom's rubber material and adjusted it:

The material uses a noise like bump map, did you guys use that too?

I prefer this last one.
Of course, i will share it ;-) I am just making some adjustements.
I use now multiple noise map, a dirt map and 2 bsdf.

Soon a new wip.

@Tea_bag I've updated the scene. The normals were not correct, and they still aren't perfect but much better as in the previous scene.

I prefer David's one. It may be a bit too black but i think this is the most realistic one, but i wondering what tea_bag will come up with :D

Thanks Tok_Tok! Yeah if David could get more light in there to show detail the end result should look good! Max is pretty close too! 8)

I think you guys have got the base rubber material down. That's the easier part. Next it's time for tire specific textures. Like raised lettering, bumps and scratches, and areas of shiny and rough. Also, you have to consider is this a fresh new tire, or an older used tire. It's those final "model specific" touches that makes 90% of the work on creating your material.
