I've just downloaded the new release (2.7.20) but can't actually tell the difference!

There don't seem to be any release notes or history - what's changed?

are you talking about standalone or plugIn?

Maxwell Render.

I fired up Softimage the other day and got a message saying that I needed to upgrade my Softimage plugin (to 2.7.7) in order to be compliant with v2.7.20 of the renderer! However I can't find a changelog anywhere!

but where do you find the renderer?

i updated to 2.7.2 for rhino plugin but i don't see main render update anywhere for download

I'm currently doing some work with maxwell RC 5.

The results are spectacular!

Maxwell 2.7.20 isn't released yet. The updated plug-in contains some FIRE fixes that will also be part of Maxwell 2.7.20, but it doesn't require a newer version in order to run.
