I guess smooth uv needs to be on or the map will be facetted. EDIT: It seems the SNormals takes care of this instead, not the SUV setting

But can you try a simple scene instead, like a plane and extrude a shape from it that bends.

Actually, try world space instead of object space.

Whenever you import ZBrush OBJ files into Maxwell you will have to "recalculate" normal smoothing or you will get faceting... just one of the quirks of the workflow.

When you say "try XXX" do you mean export a copy for you? I've already tried it myself, so trying it again won't do me any good -- however I'd be happy to export copies for you to look at.

Also a simple scene won't help here since there are 48 possible flip/switch variations withing ZBrush (hence the purpose of the chart) and we still don't know what one will give even close to correct results in Maxwell.
