This was a bug in an earlier version that went away with the 2.0 update....but now is back in the 2.5 update.

Alphas will not save for me (embedded or separate) out of renders. If I manually try to save an alpha, it will look like something saved and tell me that something saved, but nothing is actually saved. The work around for this is to save the mxi, close and open it again and the alpha will be able to be saved. Also, opening an mxi in Photoshop still works.

Cannot confirm this. Please provide more details about OS, Maxwell version, image format etc.

Maxwell 2.51
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Tried TGA and PNG formats

I only use studio and not plug-ins, so I don't know if that makes any difference. Also, when this bug was around previously it seemed like it was fairly mixed as far as who it effected...some people had the issue and some did not.

We need exact sequence of steps because, it works just perfectly here.

As far as steps to repro this, it's just the standard method for saving alphas.

It seems to happen after i've been doing heavy work previously and have had my ram being used to it's max.
