Greetings.

I am looking for a simple, low-noise creating mirror. I would like to place this directly *next* to an emitter.

Thusfar, the material I have used is nickel plating (from the think site). I like it because it gives a bit of a reflection as well, for the (non emitting) materials which touch it. But there is so much noise associated.
Does anyone have a good idea/suggestion for a nice material?

I believe that any light reflecting off of a mirror will be counted as caustics in the calculations so it's probably a difference between slow and less slow. My suggestion would be to use the simplest material you can. Maybe just one layer, single BSDF, roughness zero, white ref 0 and 90, high Nd (10-50), no force fresnel. The lower you make the Nd and the darker you make the reflection colors the faster it will probably render but (and because) the mirror will be reflecting less light.
