Recently, I have been dabbling in interior renders and sometimes I find the amount of objects and materials which need to be made quite overwhelming. With so many various materials and objects needing made, it's easy to not focus on any one single thing enough, resulting in a lack of quality for the larger picture. I'm curious how you guys go about creating materials in scenes where many are needed. When doing test render for materials, do you always render from the final camera angle? Or do you work in a closeup camera angle to make sure it actually looks correct, and not only looks correct from the angle you are final rendering from?
For me, i find it works better if I work from a closeup angle so i can focus on that single material and make sure it looks right before i move on to another one. This has been having some downfalls though, as sometimes I get too focused on that tiny detail in the big picture and spend quite a bit more time on that tiny detail than i should.
I'm still trying to figure out the best approach and am curious how you guys work, when working on situations such as this.
