I have had Maxwell 2 for several weeks now with no problems. Then today I was working along fine and then it crashed. Now when I open the application (directly, through Max plugin or through Maxwell Studio) I can see the interface, but it crashes immediately. I have un-installed and re-installed several times with no change in this behavior. When it crashed the first time, the Multilight palette was un-docked, and now everytime I try to open Maxwell Render, the Multilight palette appears undocked, but shows the desktop in the pane (obviously some kind of re-drawing issue). Seems strange to me that even after un-installing and re-installing that it would remember that the Multilight palette was undocked. Don't know if this is relevent, but I thought it was odd. Has anyone encountered this problem? HELP! -Elliot

I don't know if it works, but you can try deleting the "last_state" layout in the layouts folder where the program is installed. It may leave those files after an uninstall.

I tried your suggestion (Thanks!), but apparently something else must be wrong. I found an deleted the file, un-installed, looked for the file again (was not there) and re-installed; still same issue.

I have never had a lick of trouble with Maxwell before, so I don't know the most effective way to get techinal assistance from Next Limit. What do I do next?
