I just tried the plugin and on hitting Render Active View it says "Couldn't write MXS file"

Anybody help please...

Hi

Did you try hitting the Write MXS button so it writes the file first and then you hit the Render button. I know this is the wrong way to do it but it seems to work for me when i had the same problem as you got now.

A bit like Kramer vs Kramer...

It turns out that if I model in C4D and then hit render it works. But if I model in Archicad and export to C4D Maxwell gives the error. I am just guessing but could it be down to materials? I just drew 4 walls nothing more...

The model displays fine in C4D but just won't render to Maxwell.

Anybody?

I'm new to C4D so it could be something I haven't spotted yet. There's a thing called an 'Archicad Tag'. Do I need to delete this?

Are there any tutorials for Maxwell with C4D? I don't know if they will help though because as I said if I draw everything in C4D then the MW Plugin works.

Desperate to get this thing working!!!

hi
this probably means that your working path is not valid.
try to change it and rerender.
