Hi Cinemaxwellians

as I can't stand waiting any longer for those other plugin updates, I venture in Cinema County. I'm impressed by the smooth plugin workflow (R9.6 on Mac PPC).
Now I need some advice, or point to a specific thread: Is there some way to set the output image name and path from the plugin?
File Options just offer the mxs path.

And btw, Image format specification is not respected, mxcl always writes a default.tga in /Applications/Maxwell, as others already reported.

Thank you

Dexel,

The image will be saved with the same name as the scene in the folder you specify for the scene and with the format you select. Or at least it is supposed to.

I have no problems here at all, I have not seen a default.tga saved in the maxwell folder, and it has always saved where I specify.

I am on C4D 9.6 on both an IntelMac and a PC with XP.

Not sure what the problem is, but you can try to get around it by calling out the output in the command line?? Maybe it would work??

enter the parameter: -o:path/filename.jpg

That does it when rendering from the command line, so it should do it.

Thank you, dyarza

Edit
issue solved - sorry, my bad: I was accidentally using C4D 9.6 PPC. No Problem on Mac PPC with C4D 9.6 UB.
Render output goes to "working folder", command line is working as well.

In my case, the animation is exported correctly to many mxs files with different names, and image output is set to the name of respective scene, so the animation can be renrered correctly, the only problem is that youll have to open MXS manually frame by frame.

I just found my fault.
Animation is working now just as you describe.
I am happy again

indeed...

on my Mac, when i start rendering each single frame mxs of the animation, i get the same path issue as above, within MXCL. So I stop render, manually set output name and path, restart render. Takes even longerrrrr.
