Seems like Next Limit only care about milking new customers for cash and not delivering on their existing commitments. Instead of the 3rd or 4th new website for Maxwell why not spent the time finishing the C4D plug-in ?

Surely the developers of RealFlow 4 are fairly intelligent and can program well enough to finish the plug-ins as well. It seems like NL have a ton of resources for everything BUT the plug-ins :(

It is highly concerning to me as well. How long have we been waiting for this? Also, the mixed messages, someone says the plug is only an exporter then someone else says that they will be full featured. It appears the a-team members aren't given much more information than us users.

Leading up to v1.0, there were a lot of "don't worry, the C4D plug is getting lots of love" messages from different a-teamers. Has there been anything since 1.1?

I'll leave it at that...

Personally i would ask what they´re doing at Siggraph.
It´s not like they have time to waste, considering the status of the crappy C4d plugin.

Why aren´t Next Limit working on getting their customers what´s initially promised...?

I know very well why they´re going, but then there´s also a matter of taking care of the customers that have already payed for the product, especially when the product works badly.

I wonder how many clients i would have left, if i charged for a job, and instead of working on it and delivering it in time, i´ll go on vacation.

Of course, if Next Limit have people working on the plugins as we speak, it´s another story, but i doubt it. They´re probably working on more important things, like a new webpage for example...

It's all a matter of finding balance.

I got all excited when I saw an e-mail form Maya in my inbox, usually that means only one thing... Instead I opened it to see the anouncement about the website.

Well, I think that like most of us I was pissed and thought that time should not have been spent on a new website while out C4D plug in works the way it does (or should I say does not work?)

However, if I may deffend NL for a moment; It makes perfect sense for them to go to Siggraph and get more exposure. It also makes good business sense to have an improved website for all the traffic that Siggraph generates for them. The more clients they get, the more resources they will have for development, and we all know that they more development.

Having said that, it's time to get back to work.

I agree, balance is the key word.

Slightly irritating though, that they seem to have plenty of time for just about everything else, but obviously never have time to answer email support if it´s something concerning the plugins.

Yeah, they sure need resources, but i think we already know in what Maxwell product those resources will end up.

Has anyone had a chance to view the new video gallery?

http://www.maxwellrender.com/img/galler ... l-2005.mov

This caught my attention, and dont get me wrong, that is a killer Demoreel...beautiful...but I thought it was funny that they showed C4D, and by magic all you have to do is hit the render button.....but that also showed the previous semi-working plugin. Interesting.....

Don't get me wrong, it is VERY irritating.

I really like M~R and it kills me that I can't use it for real work. We bought 8 licenses so I could render on 32 cores and get stuff done. So far I have not been able to produce any renderings for our clients, and just a couple that I have used internally.

The workflow is such right now that it is not realistic for me to use M~R. In the meantime I have been using Studio to open up the material test object that was posted in the forums and I have been experimenting with materials. It is nothing but playing around, but I figure that by the time that using .mxm materials in C4D is optimized, I will have a good handle on how materials work, and a good library built up.

It appears you will have plenty of time to build up your library then. :D
