Hi,

Please see my post in the general M~R forum:

http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... hp?t=17761

I think that there is a problem with using network render and MXS files created with the C4D plug. "Error:No Active Camera Found in MXS" !!!!

Our camera selection was taken away from us. Please give it back.

This is the third compelling reason I have come accross for returning the camera selection option to the plug-in. I am making this my cause, who;s with me?!!

Cheers,

D

Sure, why not.
Just don´t expect any feedback from NL until early 2007.

Of course, if this would´ve been a flaw in Studio, you´ld have an update plus a new studio feature tomorrow morning.

Dyarza,

Thank you bringing this report forward. I will check your thread. Be sure you have this camera selected as active in C4D and have that view port as the currently selected view port.

Thanks Tyrone,

I have gotten used to making sure that I am in the correct viewport with the camera selected, but I still maintain that from a workflow issue I like being able to specify a camera in the plug-in way better.

I rarely have the camera view selected because I tend to select the views early on and then go on adding detail and tweaking materials, so I would just specify which camera to render and go on.

Looking forward to the next plug-in.

i think the best way would have it like in cinema, to render the camera of the window that has the active view indictor (under edit / use as renderview)

then you can have selected any window, it would render always the renderperspective

i hated the old camera selection, because it didnt render what i see in the renderviewport, when i had choosen another camer by accident.
thec4d way would be the best.

cheers

Sounds good to me. It is what we have to do in C4D so everybody should be accustomed to it.

Thanks
