yes Tyron, old scenes work, but not NEW scenes with NEW mxm materials.

i am on winxp, 8 core machine, happens also on my core duo notebook.

There's a bug with the C4D plug.
The scene export with old version of shader (v. 1.1) not with the new one.
And now, let's wait for an (quick) update.

In fact the custom materials made with the new Material Editor do get exported - they just don't get correctly assigned to the objects which they are applied to by the plugin.

Open a faulty scene in Maxwell Studio and you should see the custom materials that have to then be assigned to the object.

Not an ideal workaround but it works.

Was the plugin fully tested before release?

no for me those objects are empty without any material in studio. i looked for that...

Illab: New materials are exported but not assigned (Cinema 9.6, Windows) - look in the materials section of Studio and they are there ready to be placed by hand. I found this last night but couldn't post then.

I wonder will this is going to be fixed?

ok great kabe, once the thing is tracked it is easier to reapir i guess;-)

hope it is found fast, i could imagine that this si a rather small thing to repair.

Hi Guys,

Yes, I just confirmed with the main C4D developer that the bug with the custom MXM materials is fixed. He is now working on the change-time in physical sky bug and expects to have a patch for both issues ready before the weekend.

I just tried some custom materials that I had made with the Maxwell 1.1 Material Editor. The ones I tried with the the new plugin work ok in a new scene and render as expected with Maxwell 1.5.

So, I hope in fixing the present problem that the ability to use old 1.1 materials will not be adversly affected.

All this could have been avoided with adequate testing, depending of course what the plugin developer used for testing purposes - I have personal doubts it was the released Maxwell 1.5.

please release the fixed version! the other bug is not so severe. i have to work on MW with mxms tomorrow-pleeeeaseee! and i woulkd hate to go back to 1.1 as it has no shift lense...
