I have an artwork that I want to highlight with a spot light with barn doors and am wondering the best way to do that with a MW light. What I did is put an invisible rectangle of light right in front of the picture. So if I want the light more confined, have a little harder edge, how do I do that with MW lights?

The render below is in running (hence grainy), but shows what I'm talking about.

What, in real life, would the fixture look like? I would always just model that, and put a low-poly emitter plane inside of it. I might be misunderstanding what you're asking though; let me know...
