I dowloaded maxwell. deinstalled the old one, installed the new one, removed cinemaxwell 1.5.. and moved the new one to its destination.

restarted.

opened the path dialoge and maxwell is where it belongs. started cinema and usd 2 planes with an emitter, 1 with something else... clicked render and got this nice message:

http://pics.livejournal.com/macray/pic/000fp7k1/g44

checked the path again. that works. Maxwell studio starts and I can render from there, but this is something I never used, so I refuse to use it now, esp. with a better cinemaxwell.

can you help me to solve that poblem?

my system: Windows 64 and Cinema4d 10.5 using maxwell64bits

there is a variable 'path', its value is a long (depends) string. Go through that and check for the maxwell entry which is most likely pointing to the wrong folder... fix that.

Check your environment varibles for:

MAXWELL_ROOT
C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell\

Path
C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell\

Maximus3D wrote:Yes, remove the "\mxcl" part of the Path and it should work fine.

Both the Maxwell_Root and the Path should both have the same value (path to Maxwell dir).

Thanks Max!

I had to add the PATH entry by hand. Root was there, but the installer didn't
write the other variable.

That's very strange. I wonder if it has something to do with the language version of xp32?!

Same for me like for Zoppo. Just the path had to be entered by hand.

xp64 (german) running here.

Hi,

Please check this thread:
http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... 7&start=30

Some people is getting the same issue with other plugins, especially with XP for 64 bits, we have uploaded a little tool that fixes it, you can get it here:
http://download.nextlimit.com/maxwell16/fix/patch.exe

Please let us know if it fixes your issue, we can't not reproduce it here but we will try to make the installer more robust about it.

Regards,

Juan
