Hello

I have a problem and i wonder to know if anybody knows how to help me, i think maybe is easy but i still can get a solution for this.

When we import one object into C4D and that object has many materials, but is only one object, not each object part to each material. How can we separate in different object to each one has his own material.

Because i can assign maxwell materials in multiple materials object.

thanks
best regards

Hi giacob.

I'm not sure that I understood your question.

http://www.studio-fabian.de/

This is the link to Fabian Rosenkranz' s site. He writes great stuff for c4d.
When you follow: ->Downloads->version 8.x, then you'll see the Plug-In "SplitToObjects". This plug makes separate objects out of your selections.

With the prior c4d-plug we had to use, I couldn't live without it...

Perhaps this is helpful.

Switch on "Polygons" mode.
Select the saved selection you need.
Press the "select polygons" button.
Right click anywhere in the viewport and select "split" function.
This will create a separate object containing only selected polygons, the parent object however will remain unmodified, so it is a copy of selection.

In R10, you can just double-click on the selection tag and polygons will be automatically selected! :D
