I am wondering if this is a problem generally or just with Lightwave objects and surfaces? I have varied problems with texture maps if the object has more than a single surface. The latest example I found is with a clipping map. If the object has multiple surfaces as layers, the Reflectance map renders fine, but the Transmittance map is ignored. If however the surface and associated polys are saved as a seperate object the clip map works fine. Which means I need to save each surface as a seperate MXS and compile them in Studio, which is what I have been doing. glebe uses a single object with multiple layers for each surface, again in Lightwave, but this does not work for me in this instance. Anyone else run into this?
Thanks, Ron
