Which solution is better/faster? To have RenderNode temp folder located on local (RenderNode) machine, or located on network path, on RenderManager machine?
Has anybody tested it?

I've tested it today. It's much faster to have temp folder for dependencies localy. All nodes are using their own drives to write, so I avoid huge traffic on one network HDD.
