Everything related to Maxwell network rendering systems.

Well IT finally got the network to allow me to connect the nodes in the
network. Now I get the attached message when I try to start a coop.
I have the MXS and all files on a network drive both computers can see.
Both drives have the same letter? What am I doing wrong?

This is just an informative message, not because you're doing it wrong. The fact is Maxwell can't know if your drive is local or mapped, in that case it warns the user to avoid a possible problem. It says "...seems to be...", not "it is". So, you should hit "Yes" and ignore.

Thanks I found that to be the case after accepting yes.
Now another question I opened the mxs in Studio started a render
to make sure it would render. then went back to Studio and did pac and go to a folder on the network. then saved the mxs to that same folder.
Then tried to do a coop render and got all kinds of lost paths to the material images. Why did pac and go not pick up copies of all the maps?
I set the materials path in Studio to the network folder for materials.

Those paths should be in UNC format (\\machine\sharedfolder\...\file) or if they are local, then it has to be on a mapped drive. Or you should have those maps next to MXS in the same shared folder you use when submitting the job.

I´m having the same problem.
I got the maps in the same folder (on a shared drive) as the MXS but still the node can´t find them.

How do I make the maps in UNC format?

Stupid question.. I figgured it out now and it works. Just had to write compelete path (UNC) in the render options boxes when i ad a job :)
