Hey everyone just a query....

I have an image and I'm going to be rendering it over several days, so will accumalate many .mxi files. These are 500mb each and are filling up my hard drive.

I was wondering if I could do the following.
Create a co-op mxi using 2 normal mxi files.
The next day, use that co-op with the new mxi to create a new co-op render.

Then continue this process each day.....

Does anyone have experience of doing this? Will it work?

Yes and yes. But you should try it for yourself with your mxi's to make sure it works for you before nuking your individual mxi's.

Make sure that the seeds are different, if there not then they won't merge.

I'm becoming curious about how much hard drive space people have? I admit I have a lot -but that is only because it's cheap! 250gb for 90$. Based on basic math I figure I can hold at least 250 mxi files on it!!!

I have a 250GB hard drive right now that I store MXS & MXI files on but it's quickley becomming to small. I'm going to be moving to a TB hard drive setup in the next few weeks.

i have 2 terrabite of diskspace and it is always getting low;-)

You can always rar the mxi and mxs files you want to store, they become pretty small then.
