referring to daros' posting on page 6, what is the meaning of:

"less linear scalability caused to too small buckets or regions"

thank you

but i hope you can separate mxi render and not only in the same network

why because i can use a mac and pc

Many rendering engines cannot handle in a efficient way smaller regions as 50 x 50 pixels by mantaining good anti alias so it is impossible to render a 500x500 pixel image on more as 100 cpu's.

Yes Vodka, it's possible to run cooperative session among different configurations.

Correction:
it will be possible to run cooperative session among different configurations.

And while I am at it, I just read the raving customer review of Yusuke
OKAUE on the M~R site:
With only a very simple material setup, you can even get beautiful
Fresnel Reflections and Sub-Surface Scattering effects.
Wow, I'm really wondering how he does it... with no way to control
fresnel and SSS switched off.

It's about time that NL speaks of *existing* features in the present and of
unreleased features in the future. What you have on your desk is not the
reality of your customers.

To remind them that a problem is fixed when the solution arrives at the customer.

I don't know, i am having mixed feelings.
I love Maxwell but the the buggs, even more the missing features are sarting to kill my workflow and my reputation. I jumped in thinking that it was going to come out soon and here i am one project due soon, and ive more waiting at the door, and what do i have to say for myself? ahh, ahhh, yeah don' worry Mr. 'client' NL team will come out with a final version soon and we'll be back on track.
Listen, i understand that it must be very hard and they are probably stressing too, but the bottom line is that a lot of us live of what we do, and once you switch a major part of your workflow is very hard to backtrack- it's not npower software or hair FX plug in, its a major step.

Every other week i get a different date and nothing still, there has to be a way in which we can pressure the, ofcourse great, NL team to come out with an intermediate version with at least cooperative rendering and sss fixed. If we cannot get rid of the noise at least let us render in a farm to achieve the best product possible in the least amount of time for OUR CLIENT.

AMEN.
