Hi guys, has anyone ever tried using logmein Hamachi to create a virtual render network? I've got Hamachi on 2 long distance computers and its definitely working because I've done network file transfers. But Node on one computer doesn't appear in the Manager or Monitor on the other. Definitely the same version of Maxwell.

AFAIK, Hamachi (at least its older versions) is/was just a remote file sharing utility. It's not designed to allow communication between custom ports. Eventhough, maybe they've improved its functionality.

They have, it creates a very simple mesh network between the computers. Oddly enough, when me and my buddy are logged into, I can see his shared files and printers.

Should work (conceivably).
