Hi all,
I'm confused about where the finished image file gets saved to after it has finished rendering on a network.
Here's my setup:
Three octo-macs,
All three are running MXCL Server and the one that I do my work on is also running MXCL Manager.
Yesterday, I assigned three jobs to render overnight. One of them just finished successfully and I went to look for it in the folder where the .mxs file lives and where I specified the image to be saved. There is nothing there. I searched my hard drive and only found the .mxs file. I tried looking on the computer that the rendering got farmed out to and I was able to find the finished MXI file but no image file. I know that I can at least open the MXI file in MXCL and save an image that way. However, I would like to know how I can set up my network renders in the future so I know where I can find them when they are done. I've been getting inconsistent results since I've started doing network renders. Sometimes, they get saved to the folder they are supposed to get saved to, sometimes they get saved to the server they rendered on, and sometimes the image file doesn't get saved at all and I have to open the MXI file to save it as an image file. Let me know what I should be doing.
Thanks!
David
