I do not have an image of the plane on the ground. Since this was my first time doing a render like this, and since I normally do product renders, I just made everything to look good from this specific angle. In the future I will...for this first one, I just had to get it done. It was a lot of learning as I went along, both from the modeling and rendering side. In the future you should see some different angles (hopefully) but from what I understand, they wanted an air to air shot in CG because it is a ton of money to do it with traditional photography, as you can imagine.

Beautifull work. Just a question : the turbine blades seem to be static. Should not there be a motion blur?
Damnit, you make a good point. I DO remember thinking about that at one point when I was working on the image, but it just completely slipped my mind in the end. I'll add that in for my portfolio. In the end they chagned the angle completely and you barely see them...A terrible and boring angle in my opinion....sigh.

I really HATE that -- in my life as an illustrator I was fortunate to rarely be asked for changes, but when I was doing graphic design that happened daily... there was a theory at my workplace that customers did it because they wanted to exercise control and get the feeling of "getting their moneys worth" by having the artist jump through hoops. Almost always the work is worse for their meddling...

I didn't last long in graphic design (although my boss begged me to stay) and I ultimately left the whole commercial art field altogether, and this was one of my primary reasons.

Best,
Jason.
