Honest Opinions???
Have I gone overboard with my new trees or is it pretty well balanced?
Is the balance btwn Photorealistic trees and Coomputer rendering OK, or does it come off looking like the vegetation doesn't belong?

They look "ok".
I have never been a fan of adding trees in post.
The lighting is never matched and they will always look a little fake and out of place because in reality, they are. Have you tried 3d tree modeling programs or plug ins?
Anyway, they look ok for Arch Viz. :)

I'm not too impress either

Vegetation is one of the hardest thing!!

You should try some 3d trees too... see what gives you the best result!

Well,

The trees actually look pretty good. I am not convinced by the rendering itself, so I think that there is a discrepancy between the trees and rendering.

If the rendering itself could look more realistic, then the trees would look better in it. The roof tile material needs some more work, as does the stone on the lower level. Maybe more (or any) bump map and some more careful mapping. Also, where the trees meet the grass it is not very convincing, maybe make grass taller to incorporate the trees better, or perhaps an area of soil around the trees with no grass. A more dramatic sun angle might help the image overall too. It looks a bit flat.

I am curious of what collection this is as it looks good.

The trees look great. The lighting direction needs to be tweaked overall...it looks too flat. Otherwise great modeling, textures and TREES!

Not to have bad words on your work really, but for me the trees are ok, your buildings materials are not
So that's why the balance is not convincing!

Fair enough.....what do you suggest?
What is it about them that's not convincing?

Are you just applying the texture to a plane?

Yeeeeesss?? Why...?
I'm not sure what you're asking. I thought that's what you do with textures.
:?

Ooooohhh! he's talking about the trees......We we're talking about the building textures there for a second. got confused :D
To clarify: All the vegetation has been added in post and all the shadows were manually created. Maybe I just didn;t get the lighting correct enough to make it look good. Twas my first time ever using "Alphs Mapped" trees

Chris, if you move/rotate the sun so the light is coming in at a sharper angle you will clearly see the vertical breaks in the architecture and it will make a world of difference.
