It looks like noise, .... maybe just a simple 2 layer material would suffice .. :)

Hi Luis -
I think this looks much better - the forms are much more evident and the tones have more snap. I understand your concern about contrast and realism but I don't think you have to worry - your eye looks pretty good to me so I think you can trust it.

Besides: you can have realistic shots that have nice snap and realistic shots that don't. I think it's more a question of matching good realistic shots, or not so good realistic shots. I just think your newer one just looks like a better photo than the first one did :)

I'm going in the camp of: you just killed all the low-midtones and your first render is much better. The contrast one looks post-ed.
